1. Parco Zoo della Fauna Europea - Park Zoo of European Fauna
Parco Zoo della Fauna Europea is set up as a natural park occupying 50 hectares of land covered with pines, oaks and chestnut trees. It is specialized on common European animals.
The zoo is open all year round. It offers free parking for your car, two bars and a big restaurant with lake views, a church, a playground for your kids and a botanical garden.
If you want to spend a beautiful relaxed day in the middle of nature this Tuscany zoo in Poppi (province of Arezzo) is a good choice for your family holidays in Tuscany.

2. Giargino Zoologico di Pistoia - Pistoia Zoological Garden
This Tuscany Zoo is located in the area of Pistoia. It covers a huge territory of total about 750 hectares.
This Italy zoo has quite a big variety of animals including the exotic ones.
Zoo Pistoia has a big car parking for the guests, a snack bar and a restaurant, picnic areas, a playground for your kids and a baby-changing table.
It's perfect for visiting with the whole family, including babies and children.
This was one of the most memorable Tuscany zoos we have visited, and I indeed recommend it for your family holidays in Tuscany. Here's our zoo di Pistoia photo with flamingo.
This Pistoia zoological park is open every day, all year round. From Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00, on the weekend and public holidays - till 19:00.
Make sure to enter the Zoo Pistoia at least one hour before closing.
After that you may be not guaranteed the entrance.
Adults: 12,50 EUR
Children (from 3 to 10 years old): 9,50 EUR
There are various discounts for group tickets (starting from 20 people).

3. Centro Faunistico Parco Gallorose - Fauntistic Center Gallorose Park
A beautifully set up and maintained zoo in Italy in Cecina, Livorno province with the most splendid Mediterranean plants, trees and flowers (14.000 plants!) A real visual enjoyment!
The park is relatively new - formed in 2001 - and it's set up as an animal farm that became a zoo. They breed both domestic and exotic animals, like donkeys, sheep, parrots, monkeys, camels, etc. A huge variety of all kinds of birds. It's a fun experience.
Tuscany Gallorose Park Zoo is open in high season (from March 1 to October 15) daily from 9:30 until sunset. In low season it is open just a few days week from 10:00 until sunset.

Ticket office of Gallorose Park Zoo closes 90 minutes before the sunset.
