Getting to Lucca Summer Festival Tips

If this is your first time in Lucca and you are planning to get to Lucca Festival by car you should know that the traffic is very limited in Lucca.

Lucca Italy is still surrounded by Medieval fortress walls. There are various parking lots available both inside and outside the walls.

Given huge popularity of this summer event in Lucca be prepared on full parking spaces so whenever you see a "parking available" sign just take it.

When you park your car outside Lucca city walls you'll have to walk for about 20-30 minutes to arrive to piazza Napoleone when the Festival is held. I'd recommend finding a parking outside the walls when you are not planning to take a hotel in Lucca.
