Weather & Climate in Florence Italy

As Florence in located between Tuscan hills, it has a big influence on its climate and its environmental conditions. In the spring and in fall, the hills surrounding the city protect it from the cold streams of air going from the Northern Apennines. But in the summer they also stop the air movement and it gets hot in the city like in a sauna. There may be no any breeze at + 40 C.

In my opinion, winter is anyway the best season for Florence sights as there is no heat and no crowd.
