Don't be lazy to walk for 5-10 minutes away from Piazza dei Miracoli of Pisa Italy towards the train station to find some of the best restaurants in Pisa.

For example, there are some good Pisa cafe on a small square Piazza delle Vettovaglie where the vegetable market is located. Via San Martino is also famous for its restaurants.

Caffe Federico Salza is one of the oldest restaurants in Pisa which was started way back in 19 century.

Nowadays this Pisa restaurant is still happy to please its visitors with the its yummy rolls, biscuits and cakes. All these are accompanied by delicious drinks like coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

In my opinion, the best time for visiting is afternoon or evening because then you can also try their aperitif (great cocktails!)

3. Antica Trattoria Il Campano         €€

Restaurant Il Campano Pisa is famous for its tasty Tuscan kitchen. They have a rich and original Tuscany menu for both meat and fish lovers. There's a very wide choice of Tuscan and other wines, and their desserts can take you to heaven!

The restaurant is a bit pricey but the quality of food is well worth it.

The kitchen is open from 12:30 to 15:00 for lunch, and from 19:30 to 22:45 for dinner. Keep in mind: American Express is not accepted at Il Campano Pisa restaurant.

Il Campano Pisa Italy restaurant is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays for lunch. Reservation is recommended.
